Here it goes, the last week of Elder Colson’s training. I have now become his imaginary future companion, Elder Lara, a missionary from Mexico. Elder Colson is in charge of teaching, planning, organizing, everything. It will be a good practice week for him before the real thing this next week. President’s basically told me that I’m out of Ponce this next transfer, that I’m needed elsewhere, so I guess we’ll get to see how the rest of the island looks like!
We have a baptism scheduled for this coming Saturday if all goes well. The mother of a less active family. As we were teaching Ana yesterday, her daughter, Yolanda told us that they had been waiting for us two. That Ana didn’t want anything to do with the missionaries before, and wouldn’t have trusted anyone to get her in and out of the baptismal font until big strong E Colson demonstrated a baptism with me. We both agreed it felt pretty good to hear that. We’ll see how it all goes!
