Last week coming up, definitely hard to believe! I’m trying hard to stay focused and mostly succeeding. I’d hate to spend the last few weeks of the mission thinking about home and then the first few weeks at homing thinking about what I should’ve done in the mission. I’m trying to tie up all loose ends.
If all goes well, Rosita should be married with her husband and baptized this Friday!! We’ve been working closely with our ward mission leader and our bishop to work out all of the details with the laboratory and paper work and whatnot. It’s so difficult to get married! no wonder no one does it.
The bishops family had us over for dinner again yesterday. They’re such a great family. their oldest boy gave Elder Hicken and I thank you cards that he had drawn up and told us that he would miss us. I told him he was going to be a great missionary someday.
We’ve been praying specifically to find families this week, and we’ve found 3! A testimony builder to me that the lord really does answer specific prayers.
We had our Meet the Mormons ward activity on Saturday and had a turnout of 50! Everyone really liked it, we had popcorn and soda. We put christmas lights on the church fence and everything.
President Boucher came to Levittown yesterday to speak in our sacrament meeting and close off nicely our missionary month of October.
All in all it was a good week and we’re hoping for another on to finish things off nicely!
